This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on KAZENA Books, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 71 of 2019 on the Operation of Electronic Systems and Transactions and the PDP Law. For non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use browser local storage to save preferences.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Essential cookies (required): needed for the Service to function, including authentication and session security. Without these, you cannot log in or use the Service. These cannot be turned off.
Functional/Preference cookies: store preferences such as display language and country (to set the default language). These are optional.
Analytics cookies: if used in the future, only to understand Service usage in aggregate, and only active after you consent. We currently do not run third-party analytics cookies.
3. Cookies Currently in Use
- Authentication cookies (prefixed "sb-"): keep your sign-in session secure. Essential; they last for your sign-in session and are renewed while you remain active.
- kb_geo: your detected 2-letter country code, used to set the default language and applicable legal documents. Functional; lasts 24 hours.
- kb_consent: records that you have made a cookie choice. Functional; lasts 12 months.
- Local storage: kb_cookie_consent (your detailed cookie choices) and auth_lang (your sign-in language) — kept until you clear them.
4. Third-Party Cookies
When you choose to log in with Google, that provider may set cookies for the authentication process under their own privacy policy.

You can manage non-essential cookie preferences via the consent banner and the "Manage settings" cookie panel in the app. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
